Dr Ross B. Gilmore

 

Graduated December 1980 Phillip Institure of Technology (Now Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology).

registered in Western Australia February 1981.

Certified in Sacro Occipital Technique in 1985.

Completed Master Chiropractic Science Paediatrics March 1998.

Fellow Australasian College of Chiropractic 2007.

Current PhD candidate at Murdoch University.

 

Served on and chaired various committees and councils within the profession as diverse as x-ray to insurance, state president, national board member/secretary, research committee advisor, convened various workshops/conferences

Most importantly father of 7 children and grandfather to 8 (and still counting)!

 

Dr Ross Brian Gilmore was one of the first few chiropractors in Australia to complete a Master of Chiropractic Science- Paediatrics, submitting his thesis in March 1998.

Right from his early years in practice he would receive referrals from colleagues and other professionals because of his work with children.

At that time this was highest academic qualification available for chiropractors who have an interest in infants, children and adolescents.

These three groups although quite different in their needs, share one important aspect ,they are all growing to adulthood.

The needs of a growing neuro-musculo-skeletal system are uniquely different in our developing years, within each subgroup but also as whole compared to adults.

The chiropractic profession has developed unique approaches to the needs of the growing individual. 

This is not confined to the way we adjust these unique groups but also the observational and communication skills that are required to provide care for them
